Comments :gas is so ridiculous that I've started sleeping at work more than a few days a week, a good 4 nights of the week I'm sleeping at my desk over night to avoid filling my tank (80 gallon BDRM-20 it's an apc and sucks gas like no tomorrow) the average cost if it were bone dry would rob me blind I can remember just a few years ago when gas was only a buck twenty five, and back in even the 90's when it at times was under a dollar$ and the outrageous gas prices have almost single handedly put america into a depression at least with such a drastic change in the economy will prompt drastic change in transportation for the better hopefully

Comments :Gas is getting outragous. I can't trade in on a smaller car because I need my pickup for the things I do. Even then, driving my small compact pickup costs too much to fill up. I need to get a second job just to pay for gas to get to and from the main job I already have. Don't the gas companies realize they're ruining the economy?

Comments :Gas prices are rediculous now. The average income can barely keep up with rising food costs; there's no way with gas now that they can do it all.

Comments :The "What Can I Do?" suggestions are great even if the price of gas does go down (I'm allowed to dream...) However, if the price of gas does not go down, there are many people who may not be able to afford to get to work (because the cost of living increases are not keeping pace with the soaring cost of oil)...so you would think that governments would want to do as much as they can to lower gas prices as "too expensive gas" can have a negative effect on the economy too. My 2 cents.

Comments :I love the idea of this website, and will definately be promoting it as much as I can. But, this is absolutely rediculous how the prices of gas are going right now. There is no reason for this, for many reasons, many of which are stated on this website. Let's make a difference, because obviously our governments are going to do jack about it. Thanks world, we're happy to live in you.

Comments :I don't have a car, that's my fight against gas prices. Honestly though, North America needs to invest in building a reputable and usable rail-system. It would pay for itself in the end (even if that took 10-20 years), and would make transportation easier for everyone, regardless of your social position.

Comments :As I said back on facebook, I live 30 minutes from my school and my daughters daycare. I moved here to raise my daughter in a healthier enviroment. I spend between $120.00-!50.00 per week in gas to travel to school and back. I just heard that we provide the U.S. with gas at the low cost of $.30-.34 per litre what the hell is that?????????

Comments :I am sick of paying 3.59 a gallon and I am also terrified of paying anymore. It costs nearly my entire paycheck to drive to and from work each week.

Comments :LOWER THE PRICE! The price of gas is the reason I am in no rush to get my license. I mean I could get it, but like i would get a car to drive anywhere if I cannot afford to pay for gas.

Comments :I completely agree... by actually acting upon the tips found under the "What Can I Do?" link, we really can make a difference. Too many people believe in the one day "gas out" theory and that just doesn't work to the extent that we need it to when the price for fuel is four dollars or more per gallon. The premise behind the "gas out" theory is inherently flawed, because by us not buying gasoline for just one day barely effects oil traders on the commodity exchange at all. By participating in a "gas out" day, you aren't using less fuel, you're only changing your date of purchase and fueling up a day earlier or later than what you normally would. The exact same amount of gasoline ends up being sold, so nothing is lost nor gained and the prices will only continue to go up. By practicing to use less fuel, you're knocking out two birds with one stone.
